About my vocation:

  • I professed monastic vows at St. Benedict’s Abbey, Ealing,
    London on 22 April, 1987 and was ordained to the presbyterate
    on 12 July, 1992 by Cardinal George Basil Hume.
  • I professed monastic vows at the Abbey of Our Lady and St Benedict, (Nashdom Abbey), Burnham, Buckinghamshire
    on 26 April, 1978.
  • I was ordained priest in the Church of England on 2 July 1973
    by bishop Mervyn Stockwood in Southwark cathedral.

Education:

• Doctor of Sacred Liturgy (S.L.D.), Pontifical Institute of Liturgy, 1994.

• License of Sacred Liturgy (S.L.L.), Pontifical Institute of Liturgy, 1992.

• I came to Sant’Anselmo, in the Autumn of 1989 to pursue advanced
studies in Liturgy.

• B.Sc., Botany and Zoology, Grey College, Durham University, 1968.

Teaching & Ministry:

• I am co-founder of the Benedictine Study & Arts Centre at Ealing Abbey, 1992, renamed Benedictine Institute in 2015.

• I am co-founder of the Institutum Liturgicum at Ealing Abbey, 2010.

• I have served as co-editor of the book series: Liturgiam aestimare: Appreciating the Liturgy,
    since 2007.

• I am co-director of the project Appreciating the Liturgy, 2007.

• I am working with others on the project Integral Humanism, 2014.

• I lectured in liturgy at The Pontifical Beda College, Rome 2002 – 2014.

• I lectured in liturgy at The Pontifical Institute of Liturgy, Rome 2002 -2015.

  • I served as the Director of Landings U.K, 2000 – 2014.
  • I lectured in Liturgy in the Church History department at Heythrop
    College, University of London, 1996 – 2002.
  • I lectured in Sacramental Theology at Allen Hall Seminary, 1994 – 1996.
  • I served as assistant curate in St Benedict’s parish, Archdiocese of
    Westminster, 1996-2002.
  • I have served as Principal of the Benedictine Study and Arts Centre at
    Ealing Abbey since 1992.
  • I was a monk of Nashdom Abbey, 1977-1985.

• I served as curate in two parishes in the Church of England:

St John the Baptist, Eltham, Diocese of Southwark 1975-1977

Christ Church and St Stephen, Battersea, Diocese of Southwark,
1972-1975.
